About..

Hi …

Thanks for dropping in ….

I’m an Engineer by profession , presently enjoying with my little one at home , passionate about so many things like cooking, photography, crafts, painting, gardening...etc for which I never found much time to dedicate previously. I started this endeavour just to keep myself engaged in something interesting other than the routine household chores....Also it is my journal to record all the successful recipes tested at my kitchen and also to share the things that I learned [ and still learning ] in my culinary journey.

I am basically from the God’s own country of Kerala ...And most of recipes shared here are the ones I learnt from my mom , granny , mom in law , friends and relatives.....Not limiting to them though...

Granny is one person who has always been my inspiration not only in cooking.....I was very fortunate to have spent my school vacation days with my granny, seeing her cook the authentic Kerala dishes in the most traditional way….Those tastes are still fresh in my taste buds…

The only thing that I find tricky when writing down the recipes, is putting the exact measurements for the ingredients….. I never go with the spoons & cups exactly as I feel eyes and hands are more useful in this matter….Anyway, I have tried my level best to keep up with the correct measurements…You can always go ahead with your experiments with the ingredients and measurements as that is the only way you can master this wonderful art of cooking...

So try out something from my kitchen for today and Enjoy your Cooking  !!!!!!!!

About Panchamrutham

Panchamrutham is a sweet offering made during Puja (worship) in Hindu temples ; the name translates to "Pancha" (Five),"Amruth"(Nectar) ie FIVE NECTARs.

From the Hindu Mythology Nectar (Amruth ) is a divine food of Gods which gives them Immortality. Panchamrutham can be thus considered as the nectar of immortality. I am sure if you ever had Panchamrutham in your life, its divine taste will be still immortal in your taste buds.

Indian culture has this beautiful of concept of considering whatever you cook as an offering to the almighty.... So whenever you cook something with a mind which is ready to gift it to the almighty , the food you cooked will definitely become an offering by itself...

Panchamrutham is my favorite among the various naivedyams or offerings and so only the selection of this name for my recipe journal...

Thanks again for your time... Hope you enjoy the stay here...Do drop in for all upcoming recipes and I would love hear your comments and suggestions....
