A beautiful cake stand is a much loved kitchen accessory by any bakers....I adore them a lot , and was waiting to grab one sometime..

Then, I happened to visit this lovely Blog that demonstrates a simple and cheap DIY cake stand...After going through it, I simply coulnt wait to try it out myself...And here is the one I made, just by sticking together an old wine glass under a glass platter and keeping for sometime for the bond to form....And it was ready in no time waiting for a click...


Now what next before I can take a snap of it.......Yes, I need a cake to put on the top....So thats how today's post had its origin....

When it comes to cooking, there is nothing more happier than getting veggies n herbs from your own backyard garden..

Having grown up seeing my grandfather and my mother growing their own little veggie patches was always an inspiration for me....Whenever I used to visit my grandfather, he never used to leave us empty handed...There will always be one or the other home grown veggie or fruit that he used to pick for us.....Little things like these are what I value most in life...

It is exactly one year and one month since I had posted for the first time at Panchamrutham...It was mainly out of boredom [ which came whenever my little one was asleep and when all my house hold works were over ] , that I decided to start writing down my recipes at this space...Also, I never had the habit of book marking recipes, which made me waste a lot of time scratching my head for the successful recipe that I had tried before...Now that I have an online recipe book, I can easily come back and refer as required...

I didn't have any idea about this wonderful world of blogging while stepping into it...It is really a great experience learning from my fellow bloggers and to enjoy their visual treats...I am a great admirer of wonderful clicks... In fact that is the first thing that I look for than the recipe details...Still have to learn a lot to be more professional in photography...

Drumstick leaves [ Muringa ] are one of my favourites among the leafy vegetables...More than the awareness of the Nutritional benefits of these  leaves , it was merely the abundance of it in my home state of Kerala that made this leafy veggie my favourite...In Kerala you can find drumstick trees in almost every house and usually when we are running short of vegetables at home , we used to go and pluck some of these leaves and a healthy side dish will be ready in minutes......

I happened to visit this site of Haiti reconstruction and read this interesting article about growing Muringa trees in the new Haiti to prevent future iron deficiency...And below is the nutritional chart [ from the same site] of the drumstick leaves... Just go through it and I am sure it will make you tempted to grab a bunch of them the next time you find them in market...
